Our Programs
Eating disorders happen to females and males from pre-adolescence to old age; people from all walks of life and situations. But there is good news. There’s help. There’s hope. We are here to walk with you on your journey toward a more hopeful, healthful and fulfilling life. Call us at 651.645.5323 or 888.Emily77 to get started.
Based on years of research, experience and sound clinical judgment, our personalized approach to treatment helps you interrupt symptom use while challenging and changing the thoughts and behaviors that prevent a positive relationship with food, your body and yourself. We also provide in-depth support for families and loved ones.
Your journey begins with our personal, individualized assessment, so we have a clear sense of the problem and can develop a plan to best fit your needs.
Together we develop a flexible and unique treatment strategy that incorporates individual and group therapy, nutrition, yoga, body image group, art, music, cooking, meditation, mindfulness, massage, acupuncture, spirituality and more. Call now, and begin living the life you deserve!
Services at The Emily Program:
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Designed for clients who need a structured program, our day and evening Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) options (at multiple locations) let you continue everyday activities like work or school. With three or four sessions during the week and a multi-family session on Saturday, IOP also fits clients stepping down from higher levels of care.

Intensive Day Programs (IDP)
A step up in treatment, structure and medical management, IDP is a 7 to 8 hour outpatient program which meets each weekday and includes support for families and loved ones. IDP also helps clients stepping down from inpatient/residential care.

Bryn Mawr House
Our Bryn Mawr House is a safe, supportive and affordable living environment for women who need housing while in treatment. Residents function as a family and offer support while living in a community of recovery. A therapist facilitates weekly community meetings on site.
Adolescent Services
No two adolescents are alike. Neither are their eating disorders. Our therapists and dietitians are experts when it comes to helping adolescents – and their families – gain control over eating disorders by building a strong sense of self and other skills young people need on the road to a whole and healthy adulthood.
Individual Therapy
Our therapists are as individual as our clients. We take great care to match you and your family with therapists well-suited to meet your needs. Trained in diverse therapy theories and techniques, we explore with you the underlying emotions and interpersonal factors that contribute to your eating disorder, and learn to replace uncontrolled behaviors and negative feelings with a strong and positive sense of self.
Therapy and Support Groups
The Emily Program leads the nation in variety of innovative groups. Our wide range of groups—from family and couples to spirituality and yoga—help you alleviate feelings of shame and isolation. Together, group members break barriers and inspire self understanding as we learn to identify unhealthy patterns and develop healthy alternatives.
Family & Friends Support
Eating disorders impact families and friends. Partners, parents, siblings and friends can be strong allies in recovery. Our teams work closely with you to help your loved one achieve treatment goals and improve relationships through therapy and support for couples, family members and friends.
Complementary/Holistic Services
We believe in treating the whole person. Across our programs, we incorporate nutrition, yoga, body image, art, music, cooking, meditation, mindfulness, massage, acupuncture and spirituality.
Nutritional Evaluation and Counseling
Our registered dietitians tailor nutritional counseling, education, and meal planning to help you develop mindful, nourishing eating patterns—so you can help interrupt symptom use and regain trust in your body’s ability to regulate eating.
Bariatric Surgery Assessment
Our pre-surgical psychological assessments help individuals considering bariatric surgery. Our experience shows that disordered eating patterns which remain unaddressed before bariatric surgery will resurface after surgery. That’s why we strive to strengthen your coping skills and develop alternative behaviors before and after any surgery.
Medical & Psychiatry Services
We always coordinate medical care with other aspects of treatment. You see our physicians and physician assistants on an ongoing basis for eating disorder-related complications. Services include evaluations, lab work, EKGs, medication management, follow-up care and acupuncture. Psychiatrists are involved in all Emily Program Intensive Programs and are available for individual outpatient sessions.
Educational Seminars
We provide effective sessions for people who are well-positioned to catch the early warning signs of eating disorders and related problems, including professionals in health care, social services, dentistry, education, faith communities, or business. See
our detailed description to learn more or to schedule a seminar.
