Fall 2013 Group Catalog Available Online

  • The Emily Program Minneapolis-St. Paul GroupsOur new and improved group catalog will be in The Emily Program Minneapolis-St. Paul locations soon. For now, please feel free to click here to peruse all the offerings.

    Here are some of the changes you'll notice in the fall catalog:

    • The layout. We hope you will find this catalog easier to navigate.The Emily Program Minneapolis-St. Paul Groups
    • Number of ongoing groups. Almost all of our groups are now ongoing. This should make joining a group easier. Our Body Image, Connections, DBT, and Tools for Couples are the only groups that have start and end dates. Talk with your individual therapist soon to get involved with those groups.
    • Woodbury. Our newest Twin Cities location, Woodbury, is included in this catalog.

    Watch the lobbies of our Twin Cities locations after Labor Day for the printed copies of the catalog.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Body Image Groups Starting in September

  • Our Body Image Groups are a safe and welcoming space for clients of all experience levels.

    Body Image groups provide you a supportive and non-judgmental environment to explore your relationship with your body while practicing mindfulness, breath and yoga postures. Additionally, they allow you to deepen your mind body connection and notice how thoughts, feelings, and postures impact body image, awareness and experience.

    * Please talk to your individual therapist for a referral before attending an intake.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Summer Groups Start Soon

  • The Minneapolis-St. Paul summer group catalog is out and includes descriptions of all of our ongoing outpatient groups and a number of new groups being offered during summer quarter.

    For clients who participate in intensive programs at our St. Louis Park office, this season also brings a pilot program that let’s you choose various groups to attend during your program day.  To get involved with any group, please speak with your individual therapist.  They can help you determine the group(s) that will be fit your needs and help get you signed up.

This Winter Brings More Groups for COE/BED Clients

  • Have you checked out the latest group catalog? We are now offering more outpatient groups specifically for clients working toward recovery from COE/BED. Here are just a few:

    Overcoming Barriers to Movement

    Wednesdays, 8:00-9:30 AM in St. Louis Park (5354 Parkdale Dr.)
    Led by: Jennie Laskow, MA, LPCC & Jocey Mathern, RD, LD
    This group will offer psychoeducation, process therapy and an exercise component. The group will provide a safe place to identify, explore, and overcome barriers (emotional, physical, logistical) to exercise. It will be co-facilitated by a therapist and a personal trainer/dietitian. Group members will be encouraged to explore/receive support around thoughts and feelings that arise in the process of bringing movement into their eating disorder recovery process. The physical movement will include the three components of exercise: cardiovascular, flexibility, and resistance.

Throughout the summer we have conducted location specific Client Satisfaction Surveys in St. Louis Park/Burnsville and St. Paul/Stillwater. Collecting feedback in this way helps us continue to develop programming and enhance client experience at each of our locations.

‘All Things COE’ for the Fall Season
