    In recovery, sometimes I go long stretches without even thinking about the fact that I have struggled with an eating disorder. Still, recovery hasn’t completely erased any possibility of struggle. I am still vulnerable to moments of feeling triggered. I still encounter anxiety and even the occasional return of eating disorder thoughts. But, in my life today, I have powerful tools to handle the situations where I do feel triggered and vulnerable.

We’re pleased announce that we have launched an adult partial day program in Woodbury. Our IDPs provide more services and support than basic outpatient programming, but are a step down from 24/7 residential treatment.

    So it’s that time of year. The time when the marketing campaigns begin, telling us “this is the year” to make a change, lose weight, get fit, get healthy, change ourselves and turn over a new leaf. Hey, I am a big believer in change—it truly is the only constant—and some change and internal focus is needed to grow and expand as a human being. It can be positive, healthy and important. It can be helpful to step back and reflect on how things went during the previous year, what you want for next year and sketch out a plan of action on how to reach those goals.
